Author Biography

• Kayoko Hirata, California Institute of Technology
  Kayoko Hirata (Ph.D., in Linguistics from the University of Arizona) has been the coordinator of the Japanese program and a lecturer in Japanese at California Institute of Technology since 1990. She has taught Japanese language and related courses at several universities in the United States. Her publications include such Japanese language learning HyperCard programs as "Kyoto, Nara: Hyper-Travel" and "Saijiki:Hyper-Reading Japanese", both from Cheng-Tsui Company.
