Author Biographies

  • Nobuko Taguchi, Southern Methodist University

    Nobuko Taguchi is currently area chair of Japanese Language Studies, a lecturer in Japanese, and a faculty member of Asian Studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She received her master's degree in Japanese Linguistics and Pedagogy at the University of Arizona and trained in CALL at Carnegie Mellon University. She is currently developing multimedia software for Japanese language learning and integrating them into classroom teaching.

  • Keiko Schneider, Albuquerque TVI Community College

    Keiko Schneider is an independent consultant with Saboten Web Design and teaches Technology and ESL at Albuquerque TVI Community College. She consults on technology integration to education, provides teacher training and develops and maintains Japanese-related web sites. She maintains "Keiko Schneider's Bookmarks" site and manages "senseiOnline", a mailing list for teachers of Japanese. Her recent interests are development of interactive, online multimedia materials, technology training for language teachers and action research on active learning.
