Author Biographies

  • Catherine Parsonage, Leeds College of Music

    Catherine Parsonage is Research Fellow at Leeds College of Music. She completed her doctorate at City University, London on early jazz in Britain. This research has been published in British Postgraduate Musicology and Popular Music and is the subject of a forthcoming book. She is currently conducting research into the relationship between jazz and popular music, ‘jazz-influenced’ wind music, and the role of recording in jazz.
