Author Biography

  • Tom Schneller, Cornell University

    Tom Schneller recently completed his doctorate in composition at Cornell University, where he studied with Steven Stucky and Roberto Sierra. In addition to his work as a composer, he is active in film music research, and wrote his dissertation on the use of short phrases and intervallic cells in the music of Bernard Herrmann. He is currently teaching music theory as a lecturer at Cornell University.
