Abstract

The article by Budd et al. presents an exciting and interesting interpretation of the lead isotope data for the Late Bronze Age (LBA) Mediterranean metals trade. Their paper provides a useful critique of the approaches used by the Oxford and Smithsonian groups; in addition, they provide new directions for archaeologists and geochemists in which to work. My comments here will be brief since I agree with most of their points.
