Author Biography

  • Jan Driessen, University of Louvain
    Jan Driessen holds a PhD from the University of Leuven (Belgium) and is Professor of Greek archaeology at the Universite Catholique de Louvain. As a member of the British and French Schools at Athens, he has been involved in the excavations at Palaikastro and Malia on Crete, but he has also excavated elsewhere on Crete, Cyprus and in Syria. He has written extensively on Monoan architecture, and recently published, with C.F. Macdonald, 'The Troubles Island: Minoan Crete before and after the Santorini Eruption'.
