Peer Review Process

Note to Authors: please make sure your contact address information is clearly visible on the outside of all packages you are sending to Editors.

Papers accepted become the copyright of the Journal, unless otherwise specifically agreed.

Contributors should bear in mind that they are addressing an international audience. Manuscripts that do not conform to the requirements listed below will not be considered for publication or returned to their authors. All submissions will be seen anonymously by two referees.

Manuscripts should be sent to the Co-editor:

Dr. Ron Geaves

Fieldwork in Religion

Department of Theology and Religious Studies

University College Chester

Parkgate Road

Chester

CH1 4BJ, UK

Articles can only be considered if three complete copies of each manuscript are submitted. They should be 5000-7000 words and should be typed on one side of the paper, double spaced, with ample margins, and bear the title of the contribution. Name(s) of the author(s) and the address where the work was carried out should appear on a separate cover sheet. Contributions should be in English, but where short phrases or quotations are given in the original language they should be accompanied by a Roman transliteration, the United States Library of Congress schemes being used wherever possible. Each article should be accompanied by (1) an abstract of 100-150 words on a separate sheet, and (2) a short note of biographical details. The full postal address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence and offprints should also be included on the cover sheet. All pages should be numbered.

Book reviewers are normally approached by the Reviews Editor. Unsolicited reviews will be considered; they should be between 300 and 1,000 words, although occasionally review articles of 2,000 words will be considered.

Publication Frequency

Fieldwork in Religion is published 3 times a year in April, September and December.
