Author Biography

  • Ariane Gruet-Pelchat, Université Laval

    Ariane Gruet-Pelchat is a master student in musicology at Université Laval in Quebec. She studied music and journalism and has been heavily involved in the local music scene for 12 years as a journalist, radio host, jury member and show organizer. Her research focuses on discourses about music, dynamics at play in Montreal's underground scene and frontiers between mainstream and underground. She plays violin in the band Groenland and numerous other rock acts.
