Abstract

We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to provide something for this project honouring Michel. He has been an excellent teacher,
mentor, and friend to countless Religion & Culture students, and we were no exception, as Michel continued to offer advice and friendship after our time at Wilfrid Laurier University had ended. In developing this story, we reminisced about the classes we took with Michel at WLU, thinking about what he had taught us, his love for pop culture integration in religious studies, and the studies on apocalypticism and Gnosticism that we had the pleasure of under-taking with him. This story about the end of the world (but not the end of humanity or its relationship with the divine) was born of those reminiscences.
