    Miriam Eisenstein Ebsworth holds a PhD in Linguistics (City University of New York Graduate Center) and is Director of Doctoral and Post Masters Advanced Certificate Programs in Multilingual Multicultural Studies at New York University, New York, New York. Author of Language Variation and the ESL Curriculum, and The Dynamic Interlanguage, her research interests include sociolinguistic aspects of second language acquisition, intercultural pragmatics, and second-language writing.
