Abstract

The Office of Computer Based Instruction (OCBI) at the University of Delaware employs a systems approach to developing single computer assisted instructional (CAI) lessons. A content expert, a CAI designer, and a programmer work together to develop, review, and revise computer-based materials. An expanded systems approach is recommended when developing large CAI courseware packages. Much attentive planning to the overall package design is suggested before actual lesson development is begun.
