Author Biographies

  • Jack Burston, Rochester Institute of Technology

    Jack Burston is a foreign language specialist. He is the Director of the Foreign Language Technology Center at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Jack has a particular interest in faculty development, software evaluation and language center design. He has been the Software Review Editor of the CALICO Journal since 1996. He has served on the CALICO Editorial Board since 1995, is a former member and chair of the CALICO Executive Board.

  • Anita Flannagan, Rochester Institute of Technology

    Anita Flannagan, is a deaf American Sign Language instructor in the College of Liberal Arts Foreign Language Program at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Anita also taught ASL at Rush-Henrietta High School and has presented many workshops on ASL and American Deaf Cultural Studies. Both of Anita’s parents are deaf and native users of American Sign Language.
