Eizo Kinoshita
Issued Date: 7 Aug 2014

Abstract

In order to attend one of the one hundred and twenty-nine national and public universities in Japan, aspirants must take a preliminary unified college entrance examination.  since many thousands of aspirants take this examination simultaneously at different location in Japan and since marking of the examination papers must be finished in about ten days, the test itself must be selected so as to be able to be marked quickly.  In order to mark such large numbers of examination papers in such a short time has
necessitated the use of computers.  computers in turn have enhanced the testing procedure by also furnishing analyses of the test scores.
