Across A Great Distance: A painter on his work, the Mojave Desert, and what the world looks like
Issued Date: 12 Apr 2008
Abstract
A painter reflects on several decades of his work, tracing its cross-currents from Eastern Europe to the Mojave Desert and finally to Mexicali. Stories range from a brightly lit Mojave Desert childhood to the desecretation of the author's hometown there. Final thoughts focus upon the crisis of Latino immigration into the U.S. across the same Mojave Desert.
