This paper responds to Markus Davidsen's critique of contemporary Pagan Studies published in *Method and Theory in the Study of Religion*, issue 24 (2012). In contrast to Davidsen's 'classical' and critical-naturalist emphasis, insider research that is methodologically sound is defended.References
